Teaser: Shawn Barber - “Tattooed Portraits: Snapshots” @ Shooting Gallery

One of the shows we are looking forward to this month is Shawn Barber’s solo at the Shooting Gallery in SF. His show, entitled “Tattooed Portraits: Snapshots,” will no doubt draw on his work experience and include honest portraits of tattooed patrons as well as tattoo artists. We love the way he transfuses a sense of motion to his paintings, like the piece seen above, and can’t wait to see what he has in store for this exhibition.
Take a look at this nice interview from the Shooting Gallery to learn more about his painting and the philosophies behind it. Show card after the jump…

I love changing my desktop wallpaper, I have it set to change every 15 minutes, looking at a dull background can really kill the creative juices. We have never done a wallpaper post on Inspiredology, even though they are super popular, and I have so many on my computer, and every time I see a huge wallpaper post.. I download every single one usually. So it was about time that we featured desktop wallpapers on Inspiredology.
TEDGlobal 2009 Wrap-Up

The frog team just returned from the TEDGlobal 2009 conference in Oxford, UK, and it was an exhaustively inspiring week. TED is like a boot camp for ideas: You’re seriously sleep-deprived, constantly over-stimulated, and both humbled and mesmerized by remarkable attendees who all share a belief that “the glass is half-full” (even in the UK…).
